What are we?
Woodin Valley Baptist Church is not affiliated with, or under the authority of, any denominational organization. Instead, the Bible is our sole and final authority for all of our decisions regarding belief and practice. In other words, we are a Baptist church that is independent in our authority and fundamental in our doctrine.
The mission of Woodin Valley Baptist Church is to bring honor and glory to God and invest in the lives of people by going across the street and around the world with the gospel. Everything we do flows out of that mission. We seek to honor and glorify God by participating in meaningful, biblical worship services and engaging Bible classes. We seek to invest in people through our outreach ministries to the Seattle community and mission efforts around the world.
What about our worship?
The worship at Woodin Valley is distinctively different. The cooperate worship is a combination of classic hymns, thought-provoking choruses, and modern-day spiritual songs that contain a clear Biblical message honoring the Lord, without sacrificing an exciting experience for the believer.
Woodin Valley has also been blessed with a large worship choir that sings for Sunday morning services, revivals, conferences, and more. Each service is filled with solos, small groups, quartets, and ensembles. If you love to worship, Woodin Valley is the place for you!
WHEN DO WE MEET?
We have four weekly services, all offering a different experience and opportunity for spiritual growth.
The first is our Sunday School hour, which includes Bible classes for all ages that begin at 10:00am.
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00am and includes impactful worship, fellowship, and powerful preaching from our Pastor.
Our Sunday evening service begins at 6:00pm where we worship together, pray together, and are challenged through a message from our Pastor or staff.
We also offer a mid-week Prayer service on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.
Every service provides the best in childcare with trained individuals who you can trust, not to mention a clean environment so you can be at peace knowing your children are in good hands.
WHAT IS THE PASTOR LIKE?
You can expect to find a loving pastor who will take great interest in caring for your spiritual needs. Pastor Farinella will take the time to get to know you personally and invest in your life throughout the week (not just on Sundays). Many churches have loving men of God that serve as a spiritual leader of their church for a period of time, but unlike most churches, our Pastor has been here since the first Sunday back in 1985. His personality, love for people, and passion for the Word of God make’s it easy to see and understand why God has used him so greatly for over 36 years.
